Privacy Policy

Baby Care Track is a baby log shared between the parents of one household. This page says what is recorded, where, for how long, and how to erase all of it.

• Your account — email address and password. The password is never read by the app: authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google).
• The name you give yourself in the household, visible to the other parent, so that every entry says who recorded it.
• The child's data — first name, date of birth, sex if given, and the whole log: nappies, feeds and amounts, sleep, medication, weight, height, head circumference, notes and temperatures.
• The mother's medication, if you record any.
• A notification identifier per device, if and only if you turn reminders on. It is used to send the reminder and nothing else, and it goes when you sign out.
• A Live Activity identifier per device, so that a timer started by one parent appears on the other's lock screen. It refers to one timer and is deleted as soon as that timer stops, and at the latest eight hours later.
• The household's time zone, so that days are cut at the same moment on both phones.
• Feedback you send from Settings — the kind of message, its text, your account identifier and email address, the app version and build, and the technical description of the device. Those last three because a fault that cannot be tied to a version is a fault that cannot be fixed. Nothing from the child's log is attached, and the screen you send it from says so.

This is health data concerning a child. It is processed only in order to give it back to you and to the other parent in your household.

• No advertising, and no advertising network inside the app.
• No audience measurement and no usage statistics. Firebase Analytics is not installed: the package is not part of the app.
• No selling, no sharing with third parties, for any purpose.
• No profiling, no automated decisions, no medical advice. The app records what you enter; it does not interpret it.

On Google Cloud Firestore, in the europe-west1 region (Belgium), and in the local cache on your phone — which is what lets you record without a network. Server-side processing runs in the same region. Google acts as a processor.

If you use the Apple Watch, it keeps a session of its own and a recent copy of the log, so that it works out of range of the phone. Notifications and Live Activities travel through Apple's push notification service (APNs), a second processor, which receives the device identifier and the text of the message.

Access is limited by server-side security rules: only members of a household can read or write that household's log.

For as long as the account exists. Deleting the account, from Settings → Account, erases the account and the data attached to it. If you are the last parent in the household, the household's log goes with it. It takes effect at once and cannot be undone.

Removing the other parent from the household withdraws their access without deleting their account.

One exception: feedback sent from Settings. It is kept after the account is deleted, because a fault report you can no longer go back to is no longer any use in fixing anything. To have it erased, write to us — it is the only thing that has to go through us.

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability.

• Access and portability — Settings → Export CSV exports the entire log to a standard file, without going through us.
• Rectification — any entry can be edited or deleted in the app.
• Erasure — account deletion, above.

For anything else, write to info@singhmanp.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — for this app, the Belgian one, the Data Protection Authority, or the authority of the country you live in.

The app is for parents, not for children. The data concerning the child is entered by the parent, who holds parental responsibility for them.
